At CRITFC since:
Fishery Science Department, Portland Main Office
I have worked on a variety of fisheries policy and research projects at CRITFC since 1999. I have conducted technical reviews of the ESA listing and hatchery policies, Fish and Wildlife Program, Artificial Production Review and Evaluation, several versions of the hydro-system Biological Opinion, sea lion Environmental Assessment, and zero withdrawal fish anesthetics. Research projects that I have worked on include lamprey migratory behavior; length-age- and stock composition of Pacific salmon and steelhead returning to the Columbia River; a number of projects with the juvenile Hanford Reach fall Chinook population; several genetic stock identification studies; evaluation of management strategies to improve steelhead iteroparity and reproductive success; Sea lion enumeration and migratory behavior. Outside the office I enjoy hiking, backpacking, hunting and building things.
