Floodplain Project Poster Guidance

We will be showcasing a diverse range of regional, national and international floodplain-related projects (completed or ongoing) at the October 18-20 Conference in Portland, OR, as well as on CRITFC’s FOOS website. The posters will be displayed throughout the three-day conference in the lobby area as well as be featured during an evening reception.

Evening Reception

On Tuesday, October 18 from 5-6:30, a reception will give poster presenters the opportunity to visit and share their research and finding with attendees. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

October 18-20 Portland Conference Poster Session Information:

  1. Posters will be featured on poster boards in the main lobby area during the whole conference period.
  2. Specific times in the agenda will be dedicated to viewing the posters and speaking with project sponsors/representatives.
  3. A list of posters will be included in the agenda booklets, along with a pdf of the poster on our website.

Poster Submission:

    . (This information is needed early so it can be included in the conference agenda booklet.)
    • Poster title
    • Project author(s) or project managers/staff and affiliation
    • Project abstract or description
    • Name and email of individual who will be presenting the poster (if applicable)
  1. Upload electronic version of poster(s) no later than 5pm on Wednesday, October 12 to be featured on the website to the following link:
    • Dropbox File Upload
    • The posters need to be standard sizing: 36” high x 48” wide.
    • Posters will be mounted on 8’ wide poster boards (2 per side) or on the ballroom or lobby walls.
  2. If you do not plan to attend but would like to send a poster, it must be delivered by Monday, October 17 to:

Registration Discount:

  1. If you are attending and submitting a poster, you will be given a 50% registration discount.
  2. A promo code will be emailed to you after your submission.
  3. If you have already registered, you will be refunded the discount.
