Biography

I am interested in the evolutionary processes and genetic architectures that underlie the unique histories, traits, and demographics of populations of fishes in the Columbia River Basin. My projects include understanding the genetic factors affecting phenotypic traits that distinguish different stocks, such as spawning run and sexual maturation timing, and the processes that shape them, as well as optimizing the bioinformatic methods that we use to process large genetic datasets. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, photography, gardening, and exotic animals.
