Amanda Kanter

(Former Employee)

Administrative Contract Specialist

Fishery Science Department
Portland Main Office

Biography

I am the Fishery Science’s administrative and contract specialist, helping department project leaders and biologists with all tasks related to project contracting, subcontracting, and budget reconciliation. In addition, I provide administrative support to all Fishery Science team members located in Portland, OR, Hagerman, ID, Moscow, ID, as well as the multiple field locations within the Columbia River Basin.

Before CRITFC, I was an Administrative Specialist contractor at BPA (2019-2021) working in the Environmental Compliance group. In that role, I worked with colleagues in 4 sections: Fish, Transmission, Cultural Resources, and Policy (NEPA) with projects varying from contract coordination, website maintenance, meeting support, timesheet processing and general staff admin/tech support.

The core of my life is my family. I am a Classically trained flutist with a strong love of Celtic and folk music. In my spare time, I untangle knitting projects, volunteer at my shul, and teach my son to cook
