Oct 7, 2020 Fishery Announcement
Wednesday, October 7, 2020
The four Columbia River treaty fishing tribes set the following fishery plan and the Columbia River Compact concurred:
Zone 6 Commercial Gillnet Fishery
Zone 6 Commercial Gillnet Fishery Ends – Platforms Stay Open Area: All of Zone 6
The tribes have chosen to conclude commercial gillnet fishing after today, October 7, 2020 at 6 PM due to approaching our B-Index steelhead harvest rate limit. B-index steelhead counts this year exceeded preseason projections and catches matched the larger run size.
Platform and Hook-and-line Fisheries
Platform and hook and line fisheries will remain open through December 31, 2020 at 6 PM for both subsistence and commercial use.
