May 29, 2018 Spring Season Tribal Fishery Announcement
The four Columbia River tribes are making the following Zone 6 fishery change because the total allowed treaty mainstem spring chinook catch is expected to be met based on the current Columbia River mouth run size.
Zone 6 Platform and Hook-and-Line Fishery
- The Zone 6 platform and hook-and-line fishery will close at 6:00 PM on Thursday May 31.
- The summer management period begins on Saturday, June 16; subsistence platform fisheries will re-open at that time.
- Summer season commercial fisheries will be announced later.
Treaty tributary fisheries are managed based on separate limits and are not affected by the closure of the mainstem fishery. Please consult your tribe for current tributary fishery regulations.
