June 11, 2019 Spring Season Tribal Fishery Announcement

The four Columbia River treaty tribes met today to discuss the spring season mainstem treaty fishery.
The spring chinook run size forecast was upgraded today to 70,500 at the Columbia River mouth. In response, the tribes set the following fishery plan:
Zone 6 Platform/Hook-and-Line Subsistence Fishery
- The Zone 6 subsistence fishery will open Wednesday June 12 at 6:00am (platform or hook-and-line only).
- The Spring Season closes on June 15. The compact for the Summer Season is tomorrow.
- Information on tributary fisheries is available from tribal fishery departments.
