2013 SPRING SEASON TRIBAL FISHERY ANNOUNCEMENT
Friday May 17, 2013
Today, the Columbia River Tribes made the following change to their spring fisheries:
Zone 6 platform and hook and line fishery and permit gillnet fisheries in the mainstem Columbia River
The Zone 6 Platform and Hook-and-Line Fisheries will close at 11:59 PM on Saturday, May 18 2013.
No C&S gillnet permits will be extended past Saturday May 18.
The reason is that the agreed to spring chinook harvest rate has been reached. At this time, mainstem fisheries are not-scheduled to re-open until June 16.
