Fishery Technician II/IIIThe Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission assists four tribes in the co-management of their treaty rights within the Columbia River Basin. The up to seven positions offered are associated with the Commission’s Fish Science Department. This research group is now engaged in several stock composition, identification, and structure investigations. As well as, involvement in describing, developing, and quantitatively evaluating restoration strategies for Pacific salmon. Specific areas of research include age, length and stock composition of Columbia River salmon and steelhead; sea lion enumeration, tracking and hazing; harvest evaluation; and habitat inventory and evaluation. The Technicians will be assigned to one or several of these projects and will work in both laboratory and field settings. The position is subject to availability of funds.
