Salmon Restoration
In 1995, the four CRITFC tribes sought to bring together their traditional knowledge of salmon and rivers with modern fish biology and fishery science. The result was the Tribal Salmon Restoration Plan (TRP). Named Wy-kan-ush-mi Wa-kish-wit, which means "Spirit of the Salmon" in the river tongue, this plan has a basin-wide goal of putting the fish back in the rivers and protecting the watersheds where fish live.
